Thanks for the input. Creating sounds is tricky because everybody has different sound systems, and it can sound totally different on another system.

Hi!

This is an experimental sound pack, I am constantly trying to improve the sounds but sometimes things don't work out as expected, it might sound good on my system while sounding totally bad on another, so please test this sound pack and give me some feedback. Please include what type of sound system do you have and what kind of EQ settings (if any) do you use. Thanks.

In this version I added GTR sounds, the rest of the sounds are the same as in v0.5.

Here is the updated version: v0.51

Install:

Unzip the contents of the file to LFS\data\engine then fire up LFS, start a game, press Shift-A, click PACK and write N_pack_v05 then click OK.

LFS is fine with mouse. I've driven LFS with mouse for 3 years before I bought my DFP and with a little practice any car in LFS can be controlled with mouse.

The mirrors on XRG, XRT and XRR are not perfect, this bug is there since X10 IIRC.

Those that don't know how to do this, with Logitech profiler software select button and record command, t /FOV 65 and hit enter key lastly, then stop recording, that will set FOV to 65 in LFS. You need to have profile created for LFS too.
You can use quick message keys too if you don't use Logitech profiler, for example F4 key you just type /FOV 65 instead of good race.

You don't need Logitech Profiler to assign a command to a button in LFS. Look at the picture.

You are using the full game you just can't access all the content so if your DFP doesn't work in demo mode it won't work in S2 mode. Probably you set it up wrong. I use my DFP for more than 2 years in LFS without a problem.

I didn't see the speedo well either and got some penalties in the pit lane so I assigned a button to switch to a lower FOV and another button to switch it back. Probably as time goes on I will use it less and less.

I agree on the clutch thing, I think it's a lot easier in a real car but there you can feel every little movement of the car and that makes it easier too.

60° - It seems to be the ideal for most car, I can read everything except RAC, but got used to 85° - I cant feel the car moving.

What do you suggest?

If I remember correctly I used to use 97° on my 17" CRT.
